Air Fryer Onion Rings
Air Fryer Onion Rings
Air fryer onion rings in addition to being exceptionally crispy and crave-worthy do not include any of the additional fat and calories found in deep-fried onion rings. Your taste buds will be delighted by onion rings that are crunchy on the exterior yet soft and sweet on the inside. Even better, they're guilt-free and won't leave a greasy odor in your kitchen, which is a bonus.
Equipment
- Air Fryer
Ingredients
- 1 large White Onion
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tbsp Soy Milk
- 2 cup Breadcrumbs (panko)
- ½ tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 2 tsp Himalayan Salt
- ¼ cup Honey Mustard Sauce
Instructions
- The onions should be sliced into thick rings once they have been peeled.
- Using your fingers, carefully separate the rings from one another. Even if the rings break, you will be able to utilize them.
- Prepare the three dredging dishes. Put the flour in a small bowl and set it aside. In a separate shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and soy milk. In a third shallow dish, add the breadcrumbs. In a separate small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt; divide the mixture evenly among the three bowls of quinoa. To ensure that the spices are well distributed, whisk each bowl.
- To begin, coat the onion rings with flour and set them aside. Coat both sides of the rings as well as the inside section of the rings completely.
- Using a fork, dip the flour-coated rings into the egg mixture. Make careful to fully cover them with the egg so that no flour shows through. It's possible that you'll have to turn the rings a few times.
- Roll the rings in the breadcrumb mixture to coat. To fully coat the rings, press the breadcrumbs onto them with your fingertips.
- Coat the interior of the air fryer generously with cooking spray. Place the onion rings in the air fryer in a single layer and coat the tops with cooking spray. Cook for 10 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius, turning each ring halfway through.
- Serve with honey mustard sauce.
